GetIt collects and stores certain information when delivery persons are registered through the GetIt Delivery App by sellers. This includes:

• Full name, mobile number, and email address
• Government-issued identification (if required for verification)
• Bank or payment information (for payout processing)
• Profile picture (optional)
• Assigned seller and route history
• Device ID and login timestamps
• Delivery logs and customer interaction records

All information is collected either directly or via the seller managing the delivery person.

2. Use of Personal Information

Collected data is used to:

• Enable secure login and authentication
• Assign and track deliveries from seller to customer
• Share delivery progress with customers in real-time
• Process payouts through the seller’s account
• Maintain service quality and delivery history
• Resolve disputes and support requests

Data is never sold, traded, or shared for marketing purposes.

3. Device and Location Tracking

The GetIt Delivery App may collect real-time GPS location and device activity data during working hours to:

• Enable accurate and timely deliveries
• Show delivery status to customers
• Prevent fraud and unauthorized use
• Improve logistics and route optimization

Location tracking is only active while the delivery app is open and active. Background tracking settings are controlled by the delivery person and their device permissions.

4. Communication Practices

Delivery persons may receive communications through:

• In-app push notifications
• SMS and phone calls
• Email (related to updates, alerts, and account info)

These communications are essential for operational purposes. Delivery persons are expected to communicate professionally with customers and sellers.

5. Third-Party Services

GetIt relies on third-party providers to deliver its services, including:

• Firebase Authentication for OTP-based secure login
• Stripe (used by sellers) for payment processing
• Device-based services such as maps and route tracking

These services may collect data as governed by their respective privacy policies. We ensure that third-party partners comply with data privacy standards under Canadian law.

6. Storage and Retention

Delivery person data is stored securely until:

• The account is deleted by the seller or platform admin
• A request is made by the delivery person for deletion
• Retention is no longer required by legal or operational necessity

Delivery logs may be retained for audit, tax, or dispute resolution purposes.

7. Rights and Access

Delivery persons have the right to:

• Request access to their stored personal data
• Correct inaccurate information
• Withdraw consent or request account deletion (subject to seller's policy)

All requests should be made through the assigned seller or GetIt’s support channel.

8. Security of Data

GetIt takes all reasonable precautions to protect delivery person data:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/SSL)
• Secure login via Firebase
• Role-based access restrictions
• Activity and audit logs
• Server infrastructure compliant with PIPEDA and Ontario law

9. Changes to Privacy Policy

GetIt reserves the right to update this privacy policy. All changes will be:

Continued use of the Delivery App after changes constitutes agreement to the updated terms.
